Chef Scott Sumsky: Imagine Impact Business Collaborator

Chef Scott Sumsky began his culinary journey at the Country Club Diner in Northeast Philadelphia when he was just 17 years old. He gained experience at notable establishments like Sonoma and Derek’s in Manayunk and played a pivotal role in opening Jose Garces’ Amada. 

Scott then spent 7 years as the Chef of La Calaca Feliz in Fairmount and later joined The Lucky Well, where he managed kitchen operations and chef coordination at The Lucky Well Incubator with Chad Rosenthal.

Scott is also a talented videographer with his business, Shot Out of a Cannon, where he has been crafting creative storytelling elements for 7 years. His work includes producing big content for small businesses, specializing in food and portrait photography. Scott has collaborated with Imagine Impact clients to create highly engaging promotional videos, including Instagram reels.

His fun and playful storytelling shines through in projects for standout brands such as Chef Reuby (now partnered with Taco Bell), Tim Spinner (owner of Tacqueria Amor), and others like food brand collaborations such as Tindle Promotions, local businesses likeBoostin Bowls Philly, The Wall Cycling Studio, and Porco’s Porchetteria, Small Oven Pastry Shop and Breezy’s Deli and Market featuring athlete influencers.

Notably, Scott has also created character-themed videos for events like the SJU Jumbotron Hawks game.

Additionally, Scott is the owner of Pastromsky, a limited-run pop-up series featuring smoked pastrami sandwiches, house-made sausage, and other BBQ-inspired treats.
